I don't know who else to ask...

Hello,
Pardon bandwidth and you can tell me that this is the wrong forum, I'll totally understand, but I don't know where else to begin my search. My husband and I have been trying for a several years now to conceive, it just seems like the natural way hasn't been very effective. I've been very disappointed in the past with the healthcare providers I have met with. So I'm wary of just going to any ole doctor. I need someone who is going to take my concerns seriously. If anyone has any names of people I should contact please message me on or offlist whichever feels more comfortable to you. I'm only asking here because I know some of you have worked with doctors and then just delivered at home with a midwife. And again if you feel like I am totally out of line just tell me, and I'll understand if the moderator decides to delete my post. If you feel there is a more appropriate forum to take this to please just let me know. I live in the Seattle area. Thank you.

i think some of the ladies (past or present) over on the pregnancy ups and down tribe have had fertility troubles. I believe there are alot of Seattle / Portlanders over there as well. Might be another good place to ask.

    Best of luck to you.

        Acupuncture can be very helpful.
There have even been Western studies on the subject that have shown significant improvements in fertility rates with acupuncture assistance- and you know those studies are done hoping to prove that Eastern approaches to things aren't valid.

I have seen my old migraine pattern fade to nil, my poor appetite & digestion improve, the recurring nerve pain in my back go away, and my menstrual cycles get more comfortable and regular with just occasional acupuncture visits.

        Best wishes!

I moedrate a group (fairly quiet lately but we've been meeting for almost 8 eyars) on yahoo!groups called TTC_Naturally. you might want to check it out.

I was infertilie for 17 eyars (plus...kind of wanted one after that)...and learned a lot about natural approaches to fertility issues. a lot of the other women in the forum have a wealth of info too, and we have a good crop of "graduates" who went on and had babies...

          come check us out!

I would also recommend acuptuncture. Very much. Herbs are also very helpful at achieving the desired outcome but it's very important to work with a trained herbalist as some can also be harmful. I personally worked with blue and black cohosh when trying to concieve, but those can also be harmful to a newly formed baby. I will send you the names of some of the acupunturists and herbalists I have been in touch with, very good, and very affordabl.e My prayers are with you.

Bowers, Marci MD, Specialty: OB-Gynecology, 1229 Madison St Ste 840, Seattle, WA 98104, Phone: 206-328-3200

She helped my friend with polycystic ovaries have a lovely now five year old girl and answered all my questions about my baby making process. (I'll have a go/no-go in a fortnight)
She and her (medical) partner Anita Connell are sweeties.
